Mitzie Hunter to become CivicAction’s next CEO

Congratulations to Mitzie Hunter on her new appointment as incoming CEO of the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance.

At ELNstudio on Thursday, December 1st, CivicAction Chair John Tory announced that Mitzie will become the organization’s CEO effective January 9, 2012. Mitzie became active in CivicAction in 2002, and has served as a volunteer co-chair of CivicAction’s ELN since 2007.

ELN Co-Chairs Mitzie Hunter and Donna Lindell will step down from their roles with the ELN in January after five years leading the initiative. Three new co-chairs will be announced in January 2012. Thank you to Mitzie, Donna, Julia Deans (CivicAction’s current CEO) and Naki Osutei (Founding Project Director of ELN) for their visionary leadership in the creation and development of the ELN.
