Program Overview

CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows program is one of North America’s leading urban fellows programs for rising city-builders. The one-year leadership program supports Fellows to become better leaders and gives them hands-on opportunities to work with high-performers outside their sectors and industries to create change in our communities. Our Fellows:

  • Lead their own city-building projects
  • Explore leadership and current issues with the region’s influencers and visionaries
  • Get matched with a mentor who supports them in their leadership journey
  • Expand their networks across the region

The program brings together emerging leaders who reflect the diversity of our region, and kick-starts their collaboration with a wide network of city-builders and leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

Who should apply?

The DiverseCity Fellows program taps our region’s most promising city-building leaders — creative problem-solvers who are ambitious, results-oriented, collaborative and inclusive.

If you have a track record of strong leadership, between 5-15 years of professional experience, and a passion for making your city a better place, apply now. The program is open to individuals of all backgrounds living in any part of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

The DiverseCity Fellows program includes over 100 hours of programming. Sessions take place on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The program will begin in late September 2014.

Fellows are selected through a competitive process.

Additional questions? Please attend our Fellows information session on Monday,  June 23. RSVP here.
